Sy Schlager: Profile of a Medical Mastermind!

Sy Schlager is a man who wears many hats.

Just look at the letters that follow his name: M.D. Ph.D. Impressive. But that’s just for starters. Also look at his job description. He’s the president of a company called Therapeutic Window. For that same company, he serves as the chief medical officer. And in addition to all of that, he’s also the content developer—basically, the heart and crux of the company.

So needless to say, Sy Schlager is a busy man. But who is Sy Schlager, exactly, and how did he come to be such a vital part of this operation?

Well, to begin with, he’s a man of deep, rich, and varied professional experience—and not just at Therapeutic Window! He also has experience on his resume in a myriad of therapeutic fields, among them oncology; infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS; renal disease; pain management; and CNS, including Alzheimer disease. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

And of course, he also has an impressive academic background—as any man who currently develops medical educational materials would have! He did his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois, focusing on biology, and got his PhD from the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. He completed a post-doctorate fellowship at the National Cancer Institute before moving on to the University of Notre Dame, where he headed the immunology program. His medical degree came next, from the University of Miami School of Medicine.

And his resume just keeps unfolding from there. Sy Schlager has overseen medical trials and clinical tests of just about any variety you could name. He has published a trio of books and more than a hundred journal articles.

In short, Sy Schlager is a man who knows what he’s talking about. And now, he’s passing along his expertise to doctors and medical professionals all over the country.
